Rhys Heaven (replacement for Stretch Dawson and the Mending Hearts Duo)
Unfortunately Stretch Dawson have had to cancel their set due to illness.
Rhys Heaven has kindly stepped in to cover this slot and help close the Festival in style.
Rhys Heaven is a Scouse singer songwriter who’s lived in Edinburgh for the past 9 years. He takes inspiration from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Stereophonics, The Beatles, Mumford and sons and Chris Stapleton when writing and performing.
Los Chichanos
The band behind Edinburgh’s legendary late night fiestas, formed to heat up the city with pumping Latin music. Using traditional cumbia rhythms and full-powered salsa percussion, the group mixes experimental electric guitar and vintage organ sounds, exploring ‘60s psychedelic influences and nostalgia.
Viva Vinyl DJs
Vina Vinyl (our very own Festival DJs) will keep the party going to the very end, spinning tunes before and after our closing gig by Los Chichanos.
Bryan, Darrell and James will be digging deep into their vinyl collections to bring you the finest analogue grooves crossing continents, eras and genres.
Viva Vinyl DJ sets are 17.00-18.00 and 20.00-21.00
Biphonix
This guitar duo will entertain you with their sweet country blues sound and gentle harmonies.
MacFunkel
Please note this event has been moved to Dunbar Legion due to the weather forecast for Sunday. The performance time is still 3 - 4.30.
Dunbar four-piece MacFunkel may have a soft spot for murder ballads, but they also put an alt-country spin on a load of familiar tunes from classic artists.
Steele MacKenzie Caribé Trio
Closing our afternoon of jazz, trumpeter Colin Steele is joined by Kevin MacKenzie on guitar and Mario Caribé on bass.
Colin has been described as the Sibelius of Scotland. His music is a joyous celebration of Scottish melody and rhythm, liberated and enhanced by the spirit, sophistication and technique of jazz
Kevin is a mainstay of the Scottish jazz scene, with a number of awards and plaudits to his name. “Mackenzie demonstrates a composer's ear and vision that equals his improvising skills” The Guardian
Brasilian Mario is a band leader, composer, arranger, jazz bassist, guitarist of 40 years experience. He’s been playing in Scotland since the 90s, and during that time spent around 10 years as bass chair in the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra.
The 3 Amigas
Zabrina, Caitlin and Olivia or ‘The 3 Amigas’ first formed almost 2 decades ago when they were barely out of nappies.
Firm friends throughout school, they sang often at concerts and small gigs. After spells of living in Spain, France and China respectively, the girls are making the most of being back in Scotland by singing together again for the first time in 10 years.
Martha Cornish
Martha Cornish debuted locally last year, duetting with her dad - the acclaimed singer-songwriter Alex Cornish. We're thrilled to welcome back this emerging local singer-songwriter for a set all of her own.
Shunpike Social Club
A loose collective of 30-odd players bringing Cumbia, Brazilian and Cuban music alive with big band flair. This party in Lauderdale Park is not to be missed!
MacKenzie Wright Ewins Trio
Three young upstarts on the Edinburgh jazz scene - Finlay Mackenzie on drums, Doug Wright on keys, and Will Ewins on double bass - really made an impression on us and we’re thrilled to give them a showcase at our afternoon of jazz.
Open Mic with Wes Bradd
Dunbar's very own King of the Open Mic will lead our session. Expect a wide range of local talent stepping up for a song or two, often backed by Wes' wonderful guitar. If you've got a song to share, or just fancy a laid-back afternoon of unrehearsed delights, this is for you.

Pianist Eileen has called on her extensive network of talented performers to bring together a wonderful afternoon of jazz.

Hunter MacKenzie Caribé Trio
Kicking off our afternoon of jazz, pianist Eileen Hunter is joined by Kevin MacKenzie on guitar and Mario Caribé on bass.
Before relocating to Dunbar, Eileen was a well-known musician on the London jazz scene, playing major venues like The Royal Albert Hall as well as the more intimate surroundings of London’s famous jazz venues.

The Tracks
With a pedigree on the Glasgow music scene going back over 20 years, The Tracks have recently reformed bringing their rock & roll & soul review to Dunbar.
Willie Dug
Bang! He got the lightning! Festival favourite Willie Dug is back to give us some high-energy rock & roll that will have the whole pub on their feet.
The Super Moons
The Super Moons are an indie-rock band from Edinburgh. Together for almost five years they released their debut album last year following a debut EP and a series of singles. Described as 'Bringing a no-nonsense approach to the Scottish Indie scene'. An eclectic mix with socially-aware lyrics and good energy..
Lone Bear
Internationally acclaimed Lone Bear plays early Delta Blues and Ragtime Music on steel resonator guitar, harmonica and vocals. His repertoire features classics from the early acoustic blues artists of the 1920s & '30s, infectious hill country blues numbers, upbeat ragtime tunes along with several originals with strong fingerpicking and the iconic bottleneck slide.
Sam Stewart
Playing a mix of well-known tunes with a few hidden gems, Sam likes to involve his audience. His set is numbered, so shout anything between 1 - 30 to decide what comes next. If you say it he’ll play it!
Dunbar Ukulele Group
Our local community ukulele group perform classic rock, pop and country covers. A dozen of these micro four-strings together create a mighty sound!
Johnston & Gordon
Euan Johnston and Andrew Gordon have been friends from the Scottish music scene for 15 years.
Finally getting together as a duo in early 2016, Euan and Andrew have worked on a set that shows their passion for Scottish and Irish Music.
Their accompanying guitar and bodhran rhythms could be considered “robust” and when both bodhrans are out… mighty!
Raggety Haggis
Local duo Yvonne and Mike play a set of tunes you're sure to know and will want to join in with.
Hank Broon’s Bairns
This offshoot of The Hellfire Club will bring you roots, rock, country and Americana tunes tinged with beautiful harmonies.
Barry Stalker & Friends Trad Session
Dunbar's regular meet up of trad musicians come together for an extended session especially for the Festival. Expect an array of traditional Scots and Irish tunes, and an eclectic range of musicians ably led by Barry Stalker.
If you're a player, bring your instrument and join in. Or just enjoy a beer or two and some fabulous music.
The Wispz
Join The Wispz on a mystical musical adventure featuring celtic/folk, angelic harmonies and dark twists.
Andrew Brooks
Artist and saxophonist Andrew Brooks mixes ambient sounds with jazz-infused saxophone for a truly unique and immersive listening experience. His album EAST, inspired by Dunbar and surrounds was released in 2022.
Wee Sara and the Texans
A foot stomping trio with guitar, saxophone and vocals to deliver original tunes and old time covers.
Barnstorm
This local four-piece perform a range of country-tinged folk, pop and Americana with an emphasis on vocal harmonies.
Slainthe M'hath
Stewart returns once again for a session of traditional Scottish folk with a wee bit of Irish thrown in. And of course some great craic.
Banjo Lounge 4
Fresh from their Edinburgh Festival residency, this imaginative four-piece will be sprinkling their own brand of Bluegrass dust on classic tunes by artists such as Doctor Dre, Britney Spears and Panjabi MC.
Blether and Tittle
Indulge yourself in traditional songs and legends, drawing on Scotland’s rich folklore and history. Christine and Aidan draw on their Scottish roots and African upbringing to bring you a delightful programme of Scottish stories and scandals.
