Michael Cassidy is a Glasgow-based singer/songwriter whose brand of folk-rock is characterised by his fragile, tender voice and his music is inspired by his own life and the lives of those around him.
Michael cites a great variety of influences including songwriting heavyweights Michael Marra, Laura Marling, Randy Newman and Richard Thompson.
Michael has toured extensively including support slots with Ben Howard, John Grant, Martha Wainwright, Nathaniel Rateliff and Sam Fender.
Michael was awarded the Gerry Rafferty songwriting prize for his track ‘The Men Who Stood Beside Me In The War’.
